Testimonials:
Mike,
I would have written sooner, but wanted to wait a bit just in case any problems showed up. But none have. We would like to thank you for a job well done. Actually, two jobs well done -- the bathroom remodel and other minor repairs, and the installation of the kitchen fan.
We are very satisfied with the quality of your work, and also appreciate the absolute fairness of your prices. Whenever the opportunity arises, we will recommend you to friends and neighbors without any hesitation.
After the Christmas and New Year madness subsides, we'd like you to replace the door to the patio in our master bedroom.

We just love our newly constructed four car garage/exercise studio. I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much we appreciated having Mike McEliece of Woodcraft Construction handle our project. The end results were fabulous! He did a terrific job in matching the exterior detail work to our existing house. I appreciated the way Mike kept us informed of the project and his willingness to listen to any changes or suggestions we may have had. We were fortunate not to experience any major problems, although when we did stumble across a few minor glitches, Mike was able to quickly and easily resolve them. I appreciated Mikes professional, yet personable approach. We are very pleased with the outcome and would definitely use Woodcraft Construction again for future projects.

We hired Mike in 2002 to build out a completely unfinished 1,000 sq. ft. basement in our home in Laurelhurst. We had three other bids in hand and they all exceeded our budget. We were introduced to Mike and he produced a very competitive bid within a week that was in line with our budget. After checking a few of Mike’s references we hired him for the job. Mike completed the job on time and on budget and we maintained an excellent relationship throughout the process. We are very happy with the end product. Over the past six years our family has probably spent half of our time in the finished basement. We had to tinker with a few minor things several years after completion and Mike was quick to come out and address our concerns.
I reconnected with Mike this year because we are selling our home and several questions came up during the inspection. Mike responded immediately and addressed those questions which helped facilitate the inspection process and gave everyone additional comfort. Mike proved that he can produce a quality product, for a competitive price, effectively manage the process, and make his customer happy during and after the process.

I am writing this letter to give a sincere recommendation of Mike McEliece, President of Woodcraft Homes. Mike was the general contractor of the custom home my husband and I had built from the time period of March 1, 2005 until August 1, 2007.
Throughout the building of our home, Mike displayed a professional manner, chose subcontractors with quality workmanship, coordinated these subcontractors in the manner of the usual practices regarding a custom home, negotiated any quality concerns always with his mild mannered yet effective way, and always seemed to have an excellent relationship with his subcontractors. From the beginning of the project, Mike admitted upfront that this was the first project he had coordinated that was of the size and scope of ours, so he was eager to take the project on while realizing he was bound to learn new things along the way.
Like any large project, there will always be things to pop up that are challenges and unforeseen. Mike handled these occurrences with poise and an upbeat attitude. Even when things might have become challenging for all concerned, Mike was able to take the longer view and give suggestions that ended up being helpful for all concerned. I never once saw his lose his temper during our entire project, and I believe this is the very best yet only one of the many good character qualities I saw in Mike.
In all my dealings with Mike, I always found him to be an honest person. He also has a good sense of humor, and I believe he has the talent of not taking himself too seriously. I also found him to be a devoted family man, and I believe he takes great care to place his family’s needs above his devotion to his work, as it should be.
We are very happy with the quality of our new home, and owe a great debt of gratitude to Mike for his diligence and determination to complete our beautiful new home with the quality that met our expectations.
Sincerely,
Barb Peterson
Mike – We want to express our appreciation for the beautiful home you constructed for us. Everyone who comes to visit us is impressed with the high quality of work on interior finishes and the attention to detail throughout.
We were especially pleased with the casework around the large mirrors, the tile deck around the spa tub and the glass enclosed shower, all of which combine to make a spectacular master bath and retreat off the master bedroom.
Perhaps the most important thing we remember was your honesty and integrity in the whole process, from the initial contract through completion and even to correcting warranty items long after we moved in. We were truly blessed to be one of your customers and will always be grateful for the fine craftsmanship you build into Woodcraft Homes.
Best Regards,
Rich and Sue Shine
We feel fortunate to have purchased one of Woodcraft Construction’s spec. homes. Mike takes personal pride in building a house that he would be proud to live in! His personal attention to detail is evident in his selection of quality finishes both inside and outside the house.
